Low- Carb Pizza

Hello lovelies,
Today I want to share another health pizza idea with you. You might have already heard of a tuna pizza but if you haven’t I am here to inform you of this interesting pizza recipe. I hadn’t tried this recipe for a while, because I just felt like it sounded a bit weird.. making the pizza base out of tuna? Really? Then again I have made a cauliflower pizza a few times (full recipe here) and it was amazing so why would I not try tuna. So yes you are understanding this correctly, the base of this pizza is made from tuna and eggs to be exact which is why it is very high in protein in low in carbs.

All you will need
Base:

1 can of tuna
2 eggs
salt/pepper/herbs

Toppings:

Tomato sauce
Cheese
Anything else you desire
Process:
Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees C.
Drain the can of tuna and then add the tuna into a bowl with the eggs and mix it all together really well.

Then add in some salt, pepper & herbs – I used oregano.
Then spread out your tuna mixture on a backing tray with parchment paper.
Flatten the mixture into a nice circle or any shape you would like to have your pizza. At this point you should make sure not to make the mixture too thin, you don’t want it to break.

Then put it into the oven for roughly 15 minutes or until the edges start to look brownish.
Then removed your pizza base from the oven and add your toppings. Though the base will not taste like tuna THAT much it does have a little bit of a fishy flavour so think about that when choosing your toppings.

Add your toppings and put the pizza back into the oven until the cheese has melted.
And enjooooy.

I know this might sound a bit weird and I was really hesitant to try this one too but it is really delicious!
Worth a try I would say.
What is your favourite pizza topping? Let me know below!
stay healthy & happy

Tips on stopping those late night cravings

We all have them, those after dinner cravings.
I have a few tips and trick I try to use to stop those craving which usually work for me and I wanted to share them with you today. Little disclaimer before we got into the tips; they don’t ALWAYS work – sometimes you just need some chocolate while watching your favourite TV show, and that is okay.
But let’s get into these tips.

HAVE YOU EATEN ENOUGH?
Have you eaten enough? Are these really silly cravings or is your body telling you it’s hungry? Make sure you are eating enough during the day so that your body isn’t screaming for extra calories in the evening. Especially make sure you are having a proper dinner to avoid feeling peckish just an hour later.

BRUSH YOUR TEETH
My next tip is to brush your teeth once you are done with the whole eating business for the day. That should signal to your brain that you are not going to eat anything until tomorrow morning. Also a lot of thing will not taste great after you have brushed your teeth - so is it really worth it?

DISTRACT YOURSELF
My third tip for you is to distract yourself. Do a fun activity in which you don’t have the option to be snacking. Go for a walk, do some yoga, start a new project. It’s a lot easier to not feeling cravings if you are busy thinking about something else.

GO TO BED EARLY
The last tip I have to offer is going to bed early. This one has many benefits, you won’t be able to snack late at night plus you get more sleep. Both of which are fantastic for you and your body.

I hope some of these tips will be useful for you, but remember it’s not the end of the world if you enjoy some last night snacks once in a while. Like most things this is all about getting out of the habit of eating something sweet every evening. Once you have broken the habit it will be a lot easier to maintain, which doesn’t mean you can never enjoy a late night snack again.

What’s your favourite late night snack? ;)
Mine is without a doubt chocolate, can you tell?
Stay healthy & happy!

Little Q&A Session

Hey there lovelies,
I’ve never really done a Q&A session before but I thought I would try it for once.
All about trying new things!

I asked you on snapchat (debster137) and on instagram (@debbieariella) if you had any questions you would like me to answer and some of you had some burning questions so let’s get right into it.

Q: Rikejosie would like to know, what are the 5 things that will always make you happy?
A: 1. Delicious Food – who doesn’t get happy after enjoying some delicious food?!
2. Travelling & exploring new places. SO excited for Vietnam 2k15 with my friend.
3. Having quality time with my family on a summer’s night.
4. Reuniting with the boyfriend <3
5. Getting a really good sweat session in! #SweatySmiles

Q: Laurakmn would like to know, do you have a meal plan?
A: I do not really follow a meal plan at the moment. I like having balanced meals with complex carbs, lean protein and healthy fats like olive oil, coconut oil, avocados & nuts and veggies!

Q: Diedunkleseite would like to know, what do your macros look like? I would like to lose fat & gain muscle?
A: As mention I am not following a plan at the moment, which means I have no idea what my macros look like. Personally I find it really hard to have to calculate calories or macros but maybe I’ll give it a try at some point. And to the losing fat & gaining muscle, technically you can’t do both at the same time. To gain muscle your body needs a lot of food and to lose fat you need to be in a calorie deficit. You see how those two contradict each other?

Q: drinkswithmichael would like to know, how do you stay motivated to loose weight if people are bringing you down by saying rude comment about weight? Also, what’s a good smoothie recipe without berries?
A: I would say loosing weight is like any other personal project you maybe want to start and there will always be people who make fun of you for it. But if it’s truly what you want to do you need to try to block those people out of your head. It’s about YOU and not them. #HatersGonnaHate
And smoothie recipe without berries I would recommend any green smoothie! Most of them don’t have berries in them. For example, a banana, some frozen mango/pineapple or even a normal apple, half an avocado, some fresh spinach and coconut water/normal water.

Q: Kirstie290 would like to know, what’s a tasty post-workout snack? Preferably sweet!
A: Okay I think I have 3 great options, 1. Greek Yogurt with berries – the Greek yogurt is full of protein and the berries will give you some of those carbs back you have just use as energy. 2. Peanut butter and a banana – peanut butter is full of healthy fats & protein while the banana is rich in carbs. 3. A milk shake – throw together some of your favourite fruit and some milk of your choice and you have a perfect post-workout milkshake. You could even at some cacao powder and make it a chocolate one.

Q: Susannemhairi would like to know, when are you starting your Youtube channel?
A: Very Soon! Hopefully in a few weeks! #StayTuned

So that is all I have for you for now. But maybe I’ll do one of these again in the future. Thank you for you all of who ask wonderful questions.
Stay happy & healthy!

My July Favourites

Hey there lovelies,
It’s that time again – it’s already August! Can you believe it?
As it’s the beginning of a new month, I thought I would tell you about a few products and things I have been loving during the month of July. I have five thing I want to tell you about this time and guess what? None of them have anything to do with fitness or health because in July I have been on holiday and it’s been fantastic.
So let’s get right into it.

My first new obsession is my new Mac Pro Laptop. I have finally converted to mac and I love it. Once you go mac you never go back, right? I was a bit worried it would take me a while to get used to, but it’s actually be quite easy! Yay for apple.

Next is a pair of shorts. They are really simple grey shorts from H&M but I have been living in them. They are great to lounge around in, to workout in or even to sleep in. All round perfect little comfy shorts. They were part of H&M’s basics range so they weren’t even very expensive.

Next is more H&M clothing – (not a sponsor, though I wish!) in particular it’s an H&M grey dress. It’s super comfortable & is made from this stretchy material. It’s the perfect length and it has a cute back. I have been wearing this dress so so often it’s crazy. Plus I think it’s a perfect day to nighttime dress because it can look quite dressed up too. It’s casual without being too casual – it’s perfect. And I wish I had bought more than one.

My next obsession has been a make up product by Bare Minerals called Complexion Rescue. It’s something between a tinted moisturizer and a foundation. It gives coverage but is also really moisturizing and feels great on the skin. I have never really worn foundation because I don’t like the feeling of it but this product doesn’t feel like foundation but I think it gives me a better finish then any BB cream or tinted moisturizer can. It’s a great product and I have a feeling other think the same thing, because when I was in Sweden I could not find this product in my colour ANYWHERE because it was sold out.

Last but not least, my final July favourite is a TV series – Orange is the New Black. I didn’t watch OITNB right when it came out but roughly half a year ago I binged watched the first two seasons in just over a week and then I was so sad that I had to wait so long for season 3. But when season 3 was realized early I was determined not to binge it all because I didn’t want it to be over so fast again. So I think I watched the first 3/4 episodes like a normal person but then I just couldn’t stop myself. End of July it has been a few episodes a day until it was sadly all over again. So excited for season 4!! And yes like everyone else I am also obsessed with Stella aka Ruby Rose #TeamStella

That is all for now.
Tell me about the things you have been loving!
Stay healthy & happy.
Love,
